The Demo CD
We were very lucky to get the then cast of THE SOUND OF MUSIC at The London Palladium to record a few of the songs from Gulliver's Travels. Many thanks to Tim Morgan, Danny Burns, Kate Coysten, Nadim Naaman, Sam Newman, Paul Kemble, Amy Booth Steele, Zoe Harrison, Gillian Ford, Gemma Baird, Fiona Sinnott, Cathy Cogle, Tony Kemp, Rebecca Lucie, Kate Roscoe, Jeremy Taylor, Helen Walsh as well as Nicola Delaney, Karen Rapps & Chris Chamberlain for agreeing to sing on the demo. Not forgetting David Beckham, who recorded and mixed it and Andy Rapps (MD). A very different feel to the fully orchestrated sound of The Minack Mitre Version. The audio files beneath are some of the tracks recorded that day.

The Mitre Players Live Recordings taken from The Minack Theatre 2008
We were also very lucky to assemble an extremely talented cast and production team to mount Gulliver's Travels for the first time. Andy and I were very pleased with how the production went and must thank the cast and crew and particularly the director, Julia Ascott, Helen Harman (movement), Jill "Wiggy" Wilson & Paul Bowles (Set and Costumes). Too many others to mention, but a special nod to Andy Thompson who designed a 10 inch animatronic Gulliver that nearly stole the show. But as you can see from the pictures in performance, the attention to detail was remarkable. A truly moving experience to have seen our piece brought to life so brilliantly. And it should be noted that new writers who write big shows are lucky to have amateur companies with the resources and talent to pull them off on a scale that is almost impossible to achieve professionally. Hear some of the live recordings below.
